Newydd employed J.G Hale Construction Limited to build a total of 55 brand new affordable homes on Ithon Road in Llandrindod Wells.

Work on this £8.3 million development began in November 2019 after planning permission was permitted in March of the same year. The houses consists of a mixture of three-bedroom houses, two-bedroom houses, two-bedroom bungalows, including adapted bungalows and one-bedroom apartments.

For the first time on any of our developments, we delivered the alternative tenure model of ‘Rent-to-Own’ on a number of these properties. This is different to the standard model of ‘Social Rent’, as the principle of ‘Rent to Own’ is to provide tenants with an opportunity to purchase their own property. The development was completed in Winter 2021.
