Community Projects

At Newydd, we want to create thriving, sustainable communities for our tenants and the area in which they live in. We work in partnership with our contractors to provide more than just a service or a product, but also a benefit to our communities. This can be through our development or planned maintenance programme, or the company that provides our work mobiles.

This includes:

• Work experience opportunities
• Apprentice opportunities
• School engagement
• Support to community projects and initiatives

We’re keen to support:

• Regenerative projects (reviving unloved communal areas by painting and decorating, cleaning etc.)
• Artistic/creative projects (helping to design and install an art project)
• Environmental projects (improving green spaces)

Volunteers from Trivallis, Linc, RHA and Newydd along with council employees and local residents, came together to undertake the painting.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to deliver community benefits as these organisations continue developing new homes and working within Tonyrefail.

The collaborative effort to paint Tonyrefail's shop fronts represents the strong community spirit and investment in the future of Tonyrefail. Together, we can create a brighter, more welcoming high street for everyone.
