Planning permission for this £2 million development was granted in November 2019. Work started on the site in March 2021 by CW Facilities Management and funding was received from the Welsh Government Land for Housing in order to address the local housing needs.

This development now provides 12 one bedroom flats and 2 two bedroom flats for affordable rent in the desirable seaside town of Barry.
