Cadarn, Cadwyn and Newydd: Our Brand Names

From June, you may notice that some emails, text messages and other communications from us to you come from different addresses and brands from across the Cadarn Group. You may receive messages from or referring to Cadarn, Newydd or Cadwyn – all are part of the Cadarn Housing Group.

This is normal as some of our services and systems are shared. All three names are legitimate and we work together as organisations to offer the best service to you.

Newydd will remain your landlord and this will not change.

If in doubt about whether a contact is legitimate, please feel free to check by contacting 0303 040 1998 or enquiries@newydd.co.uk.

Our New Integrated Rents Team

Cadarn is pleased to introduce our new integrated Rents Team, bringing together colleagues from across our housing services to provide a more consistent and supportive experience for tenants.

The new structure has been designed to strengthen early support, improve communication, and help us work more proactively with anyone experiencing difficulties with rent payments or financial pressures.

Discover more about what this means for you in practice here.

Renters' Rights Act: What It Means For You

You may have seen stories in the news about the Renters’ Rights Act. This act primarily affects tenancies in England but we want to let you know about one specific change that affects you as a Contract Holder with Newydd.

From 1st of June 2026, it will be against the law for:

landlords to refuse someone a home, or discriminate against them just because they have children or because they receive benefits, such as Universal Credit or Housing Benefit.

We’ll write to all households outlining the new clauses to your contract but you can find out more about the changes by clicking the link below.

3)       Enter your contact details

4)       And that’s it! You’re in the draw for the £25 voucher!

And read on below to find the results of last month’s question and the lucky winners of the £25 vouchers.

And the results are…: April’s QOTM

Thank you to everyone who took the time to respond to April’s Question of the Month when we asked, “Do you feel you are given opportunities to have your say in decisions we make?”.

The results are:

61% Yes

13% No

17% Sometimes

9% Unsure

And the winners of the £25 shopping vouchers for answering the questions are Stuart from Cowbridge and Adele from Cardiff. Congratulations!

Your feedback shows that many tenants feel able to have their say, whilst also showing we need to make involvement clearer and easier for everyone.
