Our new integrated Rents Team

Cadarn is pleased to introduce our new integrated Rents Team, bringing together colleagues from across our housing services to provide a more consistent and supportive experience for tenants.

The new structure has been designed to strengthen early support, improve communication, and help us work more proactively with anyone experiencing difficulties with rent payments or financial pressures. 

What this means for you 

Our Housing Officers will continue to work closely with residents at the earliest stage if rent accounts fall behind, offering advice, support, and referrals to specialist services where needed. 

Where accounts require more specialist support or legal action becomes a possibility, our dedicated Rents Team will now provide additional help and guidance. This joined-up approach will help ensure that residents receive the right support at the right time, while also helping us sustain successful Occupation Contracts (old tenancy agreements) and prevent homelessness wherever possible.

We understand that financial circumstances can change quickly. Our approach is focused on: 

  • Early support and prevention
  • Clear and consistent communication
  • Working positively with residents to find affordable solutions
  • Helping residents access financial inclusion, welfare, and tenancy support services
  • Preventing tenancy breakdown wherever possible.

We encourage anyone who may be worried about paying their rent to contact us as early as possible. The sooner we can work together, the more options and support may be available.
