Vale of Glamorgan

Vale of Glamorgan

Welcome to the Vale of Glamorgan, the southernmost part of Wales, often referred to as 'The Vale'. It borders Bridgend, Cardiff, and Rhondda Cynon Taf. Here, the economy mostly relies on farming and chemicals. There are many fun places to visit, like the Barry Island Pleasure Park (you might recognise it from the TV show Gavin & Stacey), the Barry Tourist Railway, Porthkerry Park, St Donat's Castle, Cosmeston Lakes Country Park, and Cosmeston Medieval Village. It is also the location of Atlantic College, one of the United World Colleges.

The Vale of Glamorgan is just west of Cardiff, between the M4 motorway and the Severn Estuary. It's a beautiful area covering 130 square miles and has 33 miles of coastline.
