Temporary Changes to our telephone service
We’ll be making a temporary change to our telephone availability on Thursday 6 August and Friday 7 August to help us improve our service.
On these dates, we’ll only be available by phone for emergency enquiries only. For routine enquiries, please continue to contact us through our usual channels, and we’ll respond as soon as possible.
Recently, we’ve experienced a backlog of customer enquiries, which has affected our response times and service to you. We understand any frustration and sincerely apologise.
To address this, we’re dedicating time to reducing the backlog and improving our processes. While this means a temporary reduction in our availability for routine enquiries, it’ll help us deliver faster response times and a better service in the future.
Thanks for understanding.
August's Question of the Month - answer for the chance to win £25 voucher
It’s another chance to win a £25 voucher by taking part in August’s Question of the Month.
This time, we want to know your views on how we should provide our housing and rent services.
As we’re asking for slightly more of your opinion this month, we’re upping the vouchers available to win from two £25 vouchers to four!
Simply click the link below, complete the short survey and enter your details to be in the raffle draw.

And the results are in...: July's QOTM
Last month, we asked, “What is one thing we could do better when handling complaints?”.
The clear message from tenants was that better communication (34% of responses) and regular updates (22%) would make the biggest difference.
We’re using this feedback to improve and making sure tenants receive clearer and timely updates from start to finish. We’re also launching tenant focus groups to help shape and improve our complaints procedure. If you’d like to get involved and help improve our complaints service, please email complaints@cadarn.co.uk and join the conversation.
We also asked… “If you could only eat one ice cream flavour for the rest of Summer, what would it be?”. And tenants clearly have a love of mint as the results were…
Mint chocolate – 44%
Vanilla – 31%
Strawberry – 18%
Chocolate – 7%
And the winners are… A big congratulations to Denise from Barry and Karren from Cardiff on winning last month’s £25 vouchers for taking part in the survey. Remember to enter this month for another chance to win by clicking the link in the story above.

A special thank you to Cath Kinson
Thank you to Cath Kinson after marking 25 years of contributing to the Newydd community.
From early on, Cath has given her time, energy, and care to support tenants including setting up community groups and running hubs to bring people together.
She sat on the Newydd Board, has actively represented tenants on the Scrutiny Team, and taken part in many interview panels to bring a tenants perspective to our recruitment. Cath was also involved in the RNIB Visibly Better Project and helped ensure that tenants with sight loss had access to the support they need.
Cath’s dedication was recognised when she received the TPAS Lifetime Achievement Award for making a positive difference for the benefit of all tenants.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for tenants and staff Cath.
Grounds Maintenance
After tenant feedback, we’re pleased that before and after photos of grounds maintenance works are now available for tenants to see.
If you would like to receive these, please contact our Customer Experience team via the link below.

Responsible Recycling
94% of our community happily recycle responsibly and keep our community clean for everyone to enjoy.
Sadly, fly tipping and incorrectly disposing waste at our bin stores is becoming more common.
Please don’t be part of the 6% who irresponsibly dispose of their waste and make a mess in our community.
Fly tipping is illegal and we will report to police when identified. This can lead to heavy fines and a criminal charge.
