Newydd is thrilled to announce that a new affordable housing development in Llysworney has begun.
In partnership with the Vale of Glamorgan Council and contractors Castell Group this development will provide seven affordable homes for rent, designed with an EPC A energy efficiency rating to minimise environmental impact.
The project includes four 1 and 2 bedroom flats, and three 2 bedroom houses. Supported by £1.55 million in funding from the Welsh Government’s Social Housing Grant Programme, this scheme addresses local housing needs and is set for completion by spring 2026.

“This is part of a wider home-building programme that has also seen a series of council housing developments completed over the last few years, with others on the way.

“We are committed to providing modern, comfortable, accessible, energy efficient accommodation for residents, homes they can be proud of.
“This is the latest example of that work and a project we are very excited to support.”

To apply for a home in the Vale of Glamorgan, residents need to register with Homes4U, the housing register for the local authority.
