Cadarn Regulator Judgement

The Welsh Government Regulator has informed Cadarn Housing Group (Newydd’s parent organisation) that its regulatory judgement, which assesses how we manage and deliver services to tenants, is under review.

The Regulator has confirmed that there are no concerns about Cadarn’s services or tenant safety. All our services, including repairs and tenant support, will continue to you as normal. This will not affect your tenancy or your rent.

We’ll update tenants at key points and, if anything changes, we’ll explain all developments clearly and in advance.

You gave us plenty of feedback and the top 3 answers were:

-            Knowing exactly when the contractor will arrive (18%)

Over the past few weeks, we’ve responded to several reports of fires at our properties. As your landlord we cover building insurance for your home but it’s your responsibility for insuring your contents. We’ve partnered with Thistle Tenant Risks to offer insurance specifically designed for social housing residents.

Cadarn, Cadwyn & Newydd: Our Brand Names

From this month, you may notice that some emails, text messages and other communications from us to you come from different addresses and brands from across the Cadarn Group. You may receive messages from or referring to Cadarn, Cadwyn or Newydd – all are part of the Cadarn Housing Group.

This is normal as some of our services and systems are shared. All three names are legitimate and we work together as organisations to offer the best service to you.

Newydd will remain your landlord and this will not change.

Our Customer Experience Team will be unavailable on Wednesday July 15th. But don’t worry! We’re still here for you if an emergency hits.

On this day, if an urgent issue comes up which can’t wait, our regular phone lines will redirect to our out-of-hours contractor Delta, or you can reach them by completing the form in the link below.

Otherwise, if a non-emergency please leave us an email on enquiries@cadarn.co.uk and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
