Tenants over the moon with stunning rural homes
The Easter holidays are about to start and children at Cwrt Canna are all smiles as they get ready to spend their days hunting for eggs with a backdrop of countryside views beyond.
Amber and her daughter Aria moved into their new home in Llangan on Friday having been sleeping on her mother’s sofa in Cowbridge.
She cuddles two-year-old Aria as workmen carry a carpet into their new home, she said, “I feel so grateful, it’s not such a strain anymore. I was over the moon and started crying when I found out I’d be moving here, just getting more stability for us both is a relief.
“When I heard my cousin would be living next door, I couldn’t believe it. We can’t wait to plan an egg hunt in the garden, weather permitting! I’m just so happy we can now begin to build a future.”
Across the courtyard, Alex moved in with her young family a few weeks ago, she said, “Moving into this home has made such a difference with the prices of energy as they are. Having an eco-home which is light, airy and with high ceilings is so beneficial… it’s been remarkable the improvement in our mood and wellbeing.
“Its brilliant being able to bring up children here too, the garden is so lovely backing on to fields, we aren’t overlooked in any way.
“Debra, our Housing Officer, has been so easy to contact and quick to sort out any queries we have. I couldn’t believe it when my husband said he’d put our name down for a home, we lived very near and didn’t think we had a chance. I can now see this is a home that we are never going to leave. It was the right choice.”
