We are the first housing association to sign HACT's social value road map
We’re delighted to be the first Housing Association in Wales to sign up to HACT’s social value road map.
The roadmap was developed by the UK Social Value in Housing Taskforce, which was composed of 17 organisations including leading social housing organisations, the Regulator for Social Housing and international experts in social value.
HACT is in discussions with over 20 more organisations from inside and outside the social housing sector about their involvement in the social value roadmap.
Organisations wanting to join these pioneering organisations in developing the roadmap should

Andrew van Doorn, Chief Executive, HACT, said:
“In signing up to the social value roadmap, Newydd has demonstrated its commitment to be at the forefront of social value measurement and implementation, so it can apply social value across its business.”
“Their involvement will ensure the tools and use cases created through the roadmap around, for example, the golden thread between the needs of local communities and investments in local areas will be applicable to housing associations across the UK. The roadmap will enable Newydd to measure the social value they generate using an expanded UK Social Value Bank containing environmental values, economic values alongside refreshed and updated wellbeing values.”
Oonagh Lyons, Housing Director at Newydd HA, said:
“At Newydd we are always keen to understand the impact of our work. As such we are excited to be the first Association in Wales working with HACT and other leading sector partners to develop a roadmap for a new way to measure social value.”
