Tenants move into award-winning Goodsheds homes
Merely twenty-one months after planning permission was received from the Vale of Glamorgan Council, Newydd Housing Association tenants are moving into Junction House on Hood Road in Barry.

The Goodsheds development in Hood Road, Barry has celebrated double success at this year’s Ystadau Cymru 2020 Awards.
A collaborative project involving the Vale of Glamorgan Council, DS Properties Limited, Newydd Housing Association and Welsh Government, it saw a former railway storage building transformed into a variety of commercial space and accommodation.

Two local residents secure full time employment thanks to housing development
In partnership with Llandrindod Wells Job Centre Plus, J.G Hale Construction hosted two eight-week work experience placements, who have now gone on to secure full time employment on the site of a Newydd Housing Association development located on Ithon Road.
